ACSTO If you pay Arizona state income tax, you have the opportunity to direct those tax dollars to the tuition needs of children who attend Christian schools. The number of children in GBC who attend such schools is growing and many are in need of tuition help. If you’d like to participate as either a giver or receiver, please contact the church office ([email protected]).
Arrive Early for Coffee and Fellowship Please join us for coffee at our CoffeeTable. We serve iced and hot coffee from 8:30am-10:05am and after the service. Please make a practice of coming to church early to enjoy coffee and fellowship, browse the books, and prepare your heart for worship. If you are interested in serving at the CoffeeTable ministry, please contact Jacob Hantla ([email protected]).

Restoration and Church Discipline Jesus directs the church to patiently and gently pursue its sinning believers that they may be won back from their sin. In cases where the professing Christian refuses to repent of sin, Jesus directs the church to remove the unrepentant one from the church family and fellowship. GBC practices church discipline as prescribed by its bylaws in accordance with Matt. 18:15-17, Titus 3:10, Rom. 16:17, 1 Cor. 5:9-13, and 2 Thess. 3:14. Regular attendance at GBC is considered affirmation of this biblical practice. If you have any questions regarding church discipline, please listen to our sermon titled “Your Role in Church Discipline,” located on our website here. The elders are also available to answer any questions.
Book of the Month January and February’s featured resource is Ed Welch’s A Small Book About a Big Problem which is a gem of biblical wisdom designed to help us tackle one of the most pervasive and subtly devastating struggles in our lives, anger. This book is structured into 50 short meditations that are easy to read but profoundly rich in truth. As well as start this year, let’s be a people who seek to grow in humility, patience, and truth in the Lord. Read this book with us, let the Word of God search your heart, and allow Christ to lead you to greater peace and love.
