Warning: God Uses Warnings To Advance Our Holiness!

Warnings for believers exist throughout the pages of the Bible. And right alongside those warnings exist strong statements of the certainty of God’s saving work. It might seem to us that those two ideas are mutually exclusive. But we find God in the pages of the Bible (even in the letter to the Ephesians) laying these two realities side-by-side!

Ephesians could not present a clearer case for the certain, saving work that God does when He unites a sinner to His Son. And our passage for tonight (Ephesians 5:5-6) simultaneously warns us about the certain doom of any person who lives in an unbroken pattern of sin. This warning is given to believers!
